Dr. L. Kevin Wells, a native of Mississippi, earned his bachelor of science from Mississippi College and his doctorate of dental medicine from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Following dental school, he completed a residency in general practice dentistry in Columbus, OH, where he later entered private practice. He then pursued specialty training in endodontics at Ohio State University, where he earned both a master's degree and a certificate of graduate studies in endodontics. His master's research was published in the Journal of Endodontics.
Dr. Wells is married to Dr. Martha Wells, who serves as chief of dentistry at St. Jude Children's Hospital. They have three children: Luke, Sam, and Juliet. Outside of work, Dr. Wells enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and playing golf.
Dr. Wells is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Association of Endodontics, the American Dental Association, the Tennessee Dental Association, the Memphis Dental Society, and the Tennessee Association of Endodontists.
In 2013, Dr. Wells was honored with the "Outstanding Young Dentist of the Year Award" from the Memphis Dental Society in recognition of his contributions to organized dentistry in the Memphis community. He has also been inducted into the Richard Doggett Dean Honor Society at the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry. Dr. Wells has served on the board of the Memphis Dental Society and held the position of president for the 2022 – 2023 term.
The staff is warm and considerate. Dr Wells is not only a great endodontist, but an amazing human being. All of these people feel like a family working together and I can’t stress the amount of caring that goes into everything they all do. ♥️

Dr. Wells was very nice and described everything to me the front desk is wonderful as well he was also able to do my root canal & internal bleaching the same day which I love because I was so insecure to smile with my tooth being discolored and I love to smile . Dr.Wells and Bre was very nice to me during the surgery and made sure I was okay during the procedure. I’m glad my doctor recommended his office to me
