Meet Dr. Wells

Endodontist L. Kevin Wells, DMD, MS

Dr. L. Kevin Wells is a native Mississippian who received his Bachelor of Science from Mississippi College, and he earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. After dental school he completed a residency in General Practice Dentistry in Columbus, OH where he later entered private practice prior to beginning his specialty training in endodontics at Ohio State University.  He earned a Master’s Degree, along with his Certificate of Graduate Studies in Endodontics and has published his Master’s research in an article in the Journal of Endodontics.

Dr. Wells is a member of the American Association of Endodontics, the American Dental Association, the Tennessee Dental Association, the Memphis Dental Society, and the Tennessee Association of Endodontists.  

In 2013, he received the Outstanding Young Dentist of the Year Award from the Memphis Dental Society for his contributions to organized dentistry in the community of Memphis. He has been inducted into the Richard Doggett Dean Honor Society of the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry. Dr. Wells has served on the board of the Memphis Dental Society including serving as President for 2022-2023.

He is married to Martha Wells DMD, MS, who is Chief of Dentistry at St. Jude Children’s Hospital. They have three children, Luke, Sam and Juliet. When not at work, Dr. Wells enjoys spending time with his family and friends, traveling, and playing golf.
